ASTM A500 Rectangular Steel Tube for structural

ASTM A500,standard specification for cold-formed welded and seamless carbon steel structural tubing in round, square and rectangular shapes. ASTM A500 is the most common specification for Hollow Structural Sections.
Scope
This specification covers cold-formed welded and seamless carbon steel round, square, rectangular or special shape structural tubing for construction of bridges, buildings and for structural purposes.
Process
The steel is produced by one or more of the following processes: Open hearth, basic oxygen or electric furnace.

1. Grade: ASTM A500 Grade A ,Grade B ,Grade C,Grade D
2. Type : ASTM A500 Square tube , ASTM A500 Rectangle Tube
3. Section Size: 20mm x 30mm to 600mm x 500mm
4. Wall Thickness: 2mm-50mm
5. Lengths: 3m,5.8m,6m,9m,12m, Customer Specific Lengths
6. Application:
structural supports, building columns, highway signs, oil field services and communication towers.
7.  Straightness: .
0.025" times the number of ft of total length.
8. Squareness of Sides:
For square and rectangular structural tubing, adjacent sides shall be square (90°), with a permissible variation of 62° max.
9. Radius of Corners:
The radius of any outside corner shall not exceed 3.0 times the specified wall thickness. Wall Thickness: ±10% of nominal wall thickness, as measured at the center of the flat.
10. Heat treatment
Only grade D requires heat treatment.
